Hello,   I am so sorry to hear about your situation, cancer is such a cruel thing and doesnt discriminate, it effects everyone and of all ages. Nothing is fair with such an monster. You don't need an family connection to develop it.   Your wife's fear is more than understandable, especially with past infections. However the hospital will endeavour to do their best and ensure that this will not occur again, especially if infection has happened before. They will pay more careful attention to that aspect.   It's great to see that you have a supportive family and money/house work is no problem for you. But please do remember that there are programs which can assist, if you like. Greetings,   Chemotherapy can affect people, very differently and each treatment can create new effects or worsen current ones. It generally depends on the type of chemo, dosage and the duration of explosure. Some effects just take longer to heal over time and thus overlap when another treatment is given. Evening,   I am so sorry for everything that you have been through, your situation sounds quite difficult and not receiving enough support from family cannot be easy either.  It sounds like your taking far too much on, your only human afterall. Perhaps it's time to seek outside assistance from government services??   You can contact the Cancer council to see what services are available for you. You can call on Ph: 13 11 20 and explain your circumstances. Or you could do more research on their website. Maybe you could seek an second opinion??? Hello sss,   I found this stage to be the most raw moment out of all of them. Your story sounds a little like mine recently, (tho different type of cancer). My mother had stage 4 and was placed in palliative care as well, we eventually made arrangements for her to come home with us and spend her last few weeks there. Hello there,   I understand how stressful the whole situation can be, many of us on here have experienced something to the effect. Whether emotional or financial but there is assistance out there and support for people. Your never really truly alone even if it may feel like so.   I'm sorry to hear about your husband, treatment periods are usually the most bustling of times. But of course, everyone is different and it can greatly vary from person to person. There is no real way to know how someone will response to their treatments. But if your unsure about certain things, it always best to ask your treating doctor and take it day to day.   Here are some suggestions, I'm putting in anything that might assist and if not, there are many other wonderful people who can advise as well.   * Contact the social worker at your treating hospital and see what services are currently available, to assist you. (Try the cancer council as well, just to see).   * Seek additional/continue support from your husband's family or request someone from yours, to come and help for an while. Hello,   (If you're looking into some more natural ways to help prevent the increase of cancer, I can advise on what i've heard. But please remember that none of this, is really proven and it's just what people say works for them).   The theory is: * They believe cancer likes sugar * They believe cancer grows in more acidic environments. * Some people believe that bi-carb naturalized the acid environment and stops cancer growth.   Results = I've heard that people do an bi-carb/water. So two parts bi-carb/water mixture to one part honey or something liquid sweet. The whole idea is that, the cancer cell draws the honey into them and the bi-carb prevents their growth or something to the effect.   Some people use it to ease the effects of chemotherapy as well.   As for organic food, i suppose its merely to lessen the sugar intake.
