Hi   i am ten years Cancer free from Breast Cancer.  Firstly let me say I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis but it isn’t the end of the world.   Also everyone’s journey is different. You can have exactly the same cancer as someone else but your journey is yours.  Having breast cancer doesn’t automatically mean you will have chemo this will need to be discussed with surgeon.  For example I had a lumpectomy and radiation, one of my friends had a mastectomy and no further treatment and another had mastectomy and chemo.  It depends on what type and grade of cancer you have and what your surgeon and oncologist think is your best option    hope this helps you ...
