Hi and welcome. Have you just commenced chemotherapy along with immunotherapy? It is certainly really rough. I found having baths and short walks outside to be the highlights of my day throughout treatment. The first few days were always the hardest and after that I would perk up again and be able to function relatively normally.  I had surgery in January and I just finished radiation therapy this week and will recommence the immunotherapy in the coming couple of weeks. Out of everything, I found chemotherapy to be the hardest going. I had some issues early on with a painful, pimply rash on my scalp. I found overheating would really exacerbate things so keeping my head uncovered as much as possible really helped. Also using a hypoallergenic soap-free wash helped too.  i hope you see some improvement soon ... View more

Hi Judith, Sorry to hear you are facing this decision. My situation is different, I have breast cancer and have a different immunotherapy drug, however I did complete 3 months of Paclitaxel and Carboplatin. I found I was nauseous for around 3-4 days after the infusion and had mild sensory changes in my feet. Hi Trish, I’m wondering how you are going now? Am assuming you have started chemotherapy because it looks a bit like your timeline is similar to mine.  I was diagnosed about a month ago with breast cancer too, management is chemo and immunotherapy first for 6 months, then I’ll have surgery and probably radiotherapy after that.  When I read your post just now I was hoping that you’ve managed to find some peace in amongst this chaotic time.  I have had two sessions of chemo and am finding it very very hard to stay in the moment and not panic when I think too far ahead.
