Hi @Ridgy My Plastic surgeon thought the Merkel was another Basal Cell lesion. It was flat, round and as big as a 10c piece. It wasn't itchy and was brown/yellow in colour. I've previously had many basals removed from my face by this surgeon. Test results showed it was a Merkel. I let it go three months before I showed him. Hope this helps. All the best.

Cancer type: Merkel Cell Tumour. Near elbow. Was told it is a rare form of cancer, and survival rate not good. Drs insisted I have 5 weeks of Radio Therapy. 2 years later and I am still here and feeling fine. Advice: Each journey is different. It changes who you are. It gave me a huge wake up call. I appreciate each day and learning to look after myself (eating better etc). Thanks for starting this thread.

Did anyone else have problems with viewing the webinar tonight? All I could see was a few slides.

Thanks for your comments. My Mum used to say "Y's a crooked letter and Z's no better" I'm guiltly of saying it myself. I love the 'do what you can do, tomorrow is another adventure.' All the best. Marjorie

Hi Megan, I never thought of karma, good point. Getting cancer was a huge wake up call for me. I'm more aware of looking after myself and contemplating the meaning of life. All the best as you travel your journey. Cheers, Marjorie.

Thanks for your comments. Yes, I agree about serving other people as well as looking after oneself. I'm writing my life story and if I ever get around to publishing it I hope it will help someone on their journey. All the best. Marjorie

I am in a dark place. I cannot see, there is ghostly silence. But wait...did I feel a slight breeze upon my cheek, a whisper in my ear, "Don't give up." Is that you God? It's so dark in here, I cannot see. But wait... there is a dim light ahead. Look! it is getting brighter, I hear birds singing. I will not give up, God.
