Hi, i am 3 weeks, nearly 4 weeks out of 7 weeks treatment for radiation for oral cancer, stage 5. I am very tired and sleeping a lot. I am still being  fed by a PEG tube, but am struggling to reintroduce Food beyond the ‘slushie’ texture.  I too have pain in the mouth/throat. i am struggling with my recovery with lots of green Mucus needing to be expelled, either I cough it up or I puke it up.   All of which is a set back to trying to reverse my 'nil by mouth' for which I am failing.   Thank god for the PEGTube. ... View more

Hi, I have just been diagnosed with a very large tumour, HPV+ at the back of my sinus.  I start 7 weeks of radiation and chemo on Monday.  I have been in a lot of pain and have been trying a lot of drugs for nerve pain as well as for general pain including headaches such as palexia and panadeine forte.  All of this helps a bit, but ultimately the pain will only reduce following treatment.  Can anyone tell me how long that may take?  I do understnd I am in for a world of new pain with the treatment too....... ...
