Bioposy results on Thursday. Dr. said bhronical tubes look ok but that's all I know. They took out a liter of fluid and just had community nurse in today and took out 400 cm more fluid. My side hurts now. I know what you mean about plans. I retired 6/1 and was going to get caught up on all the yard work and get rid of lots of stuff inside that accumulated thru the years. Not much energy for outdoor work. A little here and there as my energy permits. I've filled over 20 garbage bags of clothes, shoes, purses, pillows, blankets, etc. that all went to Goodwill. Still have to go thru my fabrics (quilting) and get rid of some I'll never use anymore. My storage room has crockpots, dishes, etc. that I'm going to get rid of as well. Lookiing for my grandma's silver ware to take to an antique shop. My girls don't want it so I might as well make a buck on it to help pay for all the bills that will be coming in. Went thru all my jewelry and getting rid of 3/4's of it that I have no use for since I retired. I only kept things I liked or that are of value. So much to do. Working on finishing a Monet water lily quilt that I started 2 yrs ago. It can be a keepsake for my daughters (in case my time is short). I told my husband last night at bedtime that "I AM NOT! LEAVING YOU! I'M GOING TO BEAT THIS ! Trying to get into an anger phase to build up my hope and attitude. Crying isn't going to help but I've done plenty of that in the last few days. Now all 3 of my daughters know and they are very supportive and caring and loving. You don't realize how much they really love you when everyone is busy with day to day stuff. Wondering how you are doing.  I have a biopsy appointment on Friday.  So afraid of what they will find.  I just retired age 65.  Had so many plans for this summer but not this.  I am still very sad and scared.  Dr said they can't operate because tumor went into pluerl fluid so I await the verdict of chemo and radiation.  I pray daily for a miracle.  Prayers to you     ... No I haven't had genetic testing.  I only found out that they found 2 cancer cells in my pleurl fluid from last week.  I have a CT scan tomorrow (Fri) and am still waiting on cancer center to call me with my appt time.  Been waiting since Monday morning.   I just feel in my gut that those shots had something to do with this.  I only noticed breathlessness about the 2nd week of June this year.  Just retired June 1st.  Had a chest cold back this past winter but it cleared up on it's own.  Had those shots back in 2020.  You know that the medical field will never admit it if this is true.  Perhaps I signed my own death sentence by getting the shots and having them interact with my dna.   ... Your post made me cry.  Why is cancer so destructive and why can't they figure it out after all this time.  I don't have a definite diagnosis yet - just found out on Monday.  CT scan this Friday.  I am so terrified that they will tell me I only have a month or so to live.  Only my husband knows so far.  I haven't had the courage to tell my 3 daughters yet - they are 27, 29 and 30 but it's going to be really hard.  I'm barely holding myself together.  My hands are so shaky since Monday and I get these chills which is unusual because it's been so hot here in PA.  I understand about the baby coming.  My youngest just had a baby 2 weeks ago.  I'm supposed to be the babysitter when she goes back to work in 4 weeks. ... Hi Andy, I just saw your post.  I'm so sorry.  I was just diagnosed on Monday; waiting on CT scan on Friday and waiting on call from Cancer center - now 2 days and no call for appt yet.  Guess they aren't in a hurry but I am.  I have to know what's going on asap.  They found 2 cancer cells in fluid drained from my right lung and that's all I know other than the dr said it was ADENOCARCINOMA  so anything with carcinoma in the word can't be good.  I look at all the info I can find and it doesn't appear that I may be here very long.  I just retired on June 1st and had so many plans and everything has gone right down the tubes.  What is your cancer?  I'm new to the site and still trying to get around.  My love and prayers to you.  Debbie1957 ... Thank you so much.  Knowing I can at least get the CT scan this Friday is something but I pray to God it's not bad.  My thoughts keep drifting to Stage 4/no cure/only a month or so left of life.  Hell, I just retired June 1st with so many plans including my 3 yr old granddaughter and 2 wk old grandson.  I'm packing up years of clothes, blankets, etc. which I always wanted to do but never had the time.  In case this turns out awful, I don't want my husband and 3 daughters to have to do it.  Not a fun chore but it's keeping me busy for the moment.  How are you getting along?  It sounds like you are doing ok and I hope so.  I'm glad I found this site because I need someone's shoulder to cry on.  I just don't know how to tell my daughters and I know that when I talk to them, that they are going to hear something wrong in my voice.  My youngest who just had the baby has mild post partum depression and I don't want to burden her.  As much as I want to go see the baby, I'm not sure I can keep it together.  Please tell me more about your condition/treatment, etc.  I need hope.   ...
