wow, the counting is almost over. my husband arrived today and we moved into Crawford House. he had already befriended people to chat to. it is so nice to have him here and i am more relaxed and settled. it will be nice not to travel every day as we can walk from here to treatment. i am told i can go home after tuesday's app and return on January 6 for a check up. i have already got a note book and pen on hand so that i can jot down all my questions that i want them to answer. once again i must thank the girls at the Tuart ward of SCGH Cancer Centre for their kindness and understanding. they are truly amazing and have made my treatment easy on me. must away, i am off to get some food before i retire to the lounge and relax. cheers Linda

Thanks Julie crawford Lodge is awesome and so hand to Charlies. My husband has already found some friends at the Gazebo for smokers. every one is so helpful and friendly. i have run into some of the women who attended the Look Good Feel Better workshop so that is nice. its really nice having my husband with me at long last. he was allowed to watch them line me up today and watch the monitor so that he could see what was happening. its not long now and i will be heading home and I am so looking forward to that. cheers Linda

Congrats re going home soon ... me too 😄 ... cant wait either!!! They have me down for an extra treatment but i will set them straight about that one on monday. I have counted treatments about 5 times just to be sure. haha Glad you are finding Crawford fantastic, its amazing what the cancer council provide. I went to a CC lunch during the week and Judith Fordham was our guest speaker, a most amazing woman. Least i think that was her name. Must check on her book that i purchased. Any profits go to the CC so was worth buying, aswell as being a good read. Julie

Hi Julie is there at web site that tells you what the CC has going? i know i am from Hopetoun but i am in Perth sometimes and might get a chance to attend. Peter and i notices that Crawford Lodge was founded by an Esperance family and that they still have 3 farms out that way. Peter works for Elders so i will get him to check it out and find out more. its quite interesting as they told me at reception that there are a few Esperance ladies are due in to stay. I am glad to hear you are going home as well. take care and cheers Linda

Hiya Linda ... Yup the CC has a website will give you the address at the end. :) If you are on your way through from hopetown to perth and want to catch up for a coffee let me know. I have made friends with someone from margaret river who also stayed here at Milroy, will catch up with her soonish i think. Yes i believe that milroy is tied up with the crawford story also, maybe was a name of one of their properties?? Not absolutely sure. I know the theatre room here is called the Tilley Theatre after the people that donated money for its existence. Pretty amazing facilities indeed. Thanks re me going home too, i cant wait and found out today they have put one too many treatments on my card ... sooooooo monday they are going to be asked nicely to remove it. haha Cheers Julie http://www.cancerwa.asn.au/ the cc website addy.
