I have been offered an alternative which is, instead of looking after some baby emu's would I like to have the goat instead? How lucky am I? lol Goats eat everything!!
Julie
Emu's don't do much for me either S ... they are pretty silly creatures. I love chooks and tried to think of them being overgrown chooks, but nope it still didn't appeal. So the goat it is and hopefully it will not eat the washing!
Many years ago, when I was living at my Mum's she had a sheep live next door with no fences.
It was a very hot day and the poor thing started chewing my sheets on the line as it was thirsty. The sheets were never the same again!
I hope your goat has better manners.

The goat thing has grown ... now it is a sheep and a goat. Had a phone call today to let me know our little family was now a little bit more extended. So, sean and who knows what the goats name is are in the pen. They better eat some of this grass and not my clothing!
Sheep chewing sheets ... hmmm new way of washing. haha I bet the sheets weren't ever the same again.

Sean is cute and has a black face, alas I think he may be destined for someone's deep freeze :(. Had to build a bit of a lean too because I think we are going to get rain and a bit of wind here tonight.

me either S ... many years ago when i was a teen I stayed on a dairy farm with friends. They had a beefy out the back called "deep freeze". Glad i left before the deed was done.
