Information and support for carers navigating end-of-life challenges

Cancer Council has released five new episodes of its podcast The Thing About Advanced Cancer. These new episodes focus on supporting carers and families of people who are in their last months of life.

Each episode features an interview with a respected expert covering the practical and emotional aspects of the carer’s role, as well as deeply personal insights from people who have cared for someone at the end of life. Once again, the episodes are hosted by well-known broadcaster and cancer survivor Julie McCrossin, who has a lived experience of caring for a family member.

Caring for someone with advanced cancer can be one of the most rewarding things a person can do – but it can also be one of the most challenging. Having easy-to-access information about palliative and end-of-life care services may help navigate this difficult time.
