RIP Eddy Van Halen. Head and neck cancer. He was a solid advocate for the cause to raise awareness. Like many he fought the good fight and his legacy is his musical genius on guitar. It sure made me happy to air guitar to those riffs. May as well JUMP.
He was truly, one of the greats!
Here's one of my all-time favourites:
How about you guys?

Yes, I was reading about this. Very sad.
Seems like so many rock legends are starting to get older (but not that old, really).
I was (still am) a big fan of Lemmy Kilmister of Motörhead. He passed away at the end of 2015 from prostate cancer.

Having gone through surgery and 37 rounds of radio therapy I managed to pull this off last weekend - https://www.facebook.com/sam.ingham.37/videos/10224351268672254/
Sorry in context I had surgery done last December on my vocal cords and 37 rounds of radiotherapy. still in recovery.
Fantastic Garth, keep on keeping on. It looks like you are having so much fun and fun is the magic of living.
Of course, there is also a write up of Dave Mustaine's (successful) battle with stage 3 throat cancer in Rolling Stone.

Dave talks openly about his story of being diagnosed, treatment and recovery.
I believe that he's since been given the all clear.
