Chemotherapy

Hi was diagnosed in October 2016 with Multiple myeloma.

Have been on oral chemo "Hydrea" ever since with dosage increasing usually following blood tests. My hematologist has just contacted me 2 day this treatment is no longer working.

Need 2 go onto "Interferon" could anyone plz tell me a bit about this drug.

Thanks

Re: Chemotherapy

Hi @Diidee

How are you doing today?

There's a little bit on interferon here and what it is here and some more information here.

Our booklet, Understanding Myeloma and Immunotherapy are also worth a read.

Has anyone here had any experience with Interferon?

Re: Chemotherapy

Hi Diidee

You would be exhausted just because you have multiple myeloma.  Not too mention that any chemo can cause fatigue.

I don’t know anything about the disease you have or Interferon but I do have fatigue. It’s my constant companion.  I can’t be on my feet for more than a few minutes before I need to sit down.   Makes me angry because there’s so much I want to do.

Anyway, I hope the Interferon works for you.  Best of luck with it.
