Im getting the DIY bring along your own cold capping system. Our hospital doesn't have the cold cap system so trying my own. Has anyone have a story to share for the cold capping that you bring along frozen to chemotherapy?
Hi @KitKat5
I wanted to check in and see how you are going with your cold capping? Has it offered you any relief? It can be challenging making decisions as to the best thing to do in any moment as you navigate treatment. I wonder if anyone else in the community has anything they could also share about their experience with cold capping?

I start treatment in a week or so. Ive since been told that cancer cells can go to the hair follicles so cold capping isnt recommended (told by a dear friend who underwent BC treatment too). Has anyone else heard of this?
Hi @KitKat5
It can be daunting trying to work your way through all the decisions you face after a cancer diagnosis. Different cancer types and prognoses require different treatments, and everyone's response to treatments is unique. It's important to consult your oncologist and medical team who understand your specific situation to get the best advice on what might be suitable for you. Have you had the opportunity to talk to your doctors about using cold capping yet?
Here is a resource that might helps also.
