I was diagnosed with ACC in 2010 , nearly 8 years ago . Since then I've had no recurrence or mets . Mine was in the tear ductand lacrimal sac but it had spread into the nasal cavity . Each year it has become easier to live with this . I think I've been luckier than some I've met online and in person.      ... View more

My ACC began in the nasolacrimal duct(tear duct)  and lacrimal sac but had spread into the nasal cavity . Since treatment throughout 2010 there has been no sign of cancer . I had my final check up in April this year and won't see my ENT or radiation /oncologist if and when metasteses occur . My only scans now are annual chest xrays .    ... View more

Sorry Debbie , I just saw your post now . My ACC was diagnosed in early 2010 but so far I've had no recurrence or metasteses . I have stopped seeing my doctors for check ups but can see them if and when it returns . It's most likely to go to the lungs , which of course is very different to your experience . Hi Mannagum and Victoria , I haven't been on this site for quite a while . ACC  has not been linked to any lifestyle habits . Many people whom I 've met in ACC groups have tried to find what they have in common with others which may be the cause of this cancer .
