Dear Camel,
My sincere condolences for the passing of your friend. We dont seem sometimes to appreciate people, because they are always there and when they are not its devastating. I lost my lovely wife of 40yrs 21/12 11, due to this terrible disease that has no reason to exist other than to cause heartache and pain. A lot of people share your sadness and pain.
I am going to a Bereavement Support Group tomorrow to talk to others that have lost someone close, it may help.

Hi Dana,
None of this is your fault, its just the position you find yourself at this moment in time. I will bet there are not too many people out there that would swap places with you.People under stress sometimes say things they do not mean to people they love. They wish things were how they used to be without the cancer not how things are now.All of us that have been touched by cancer wish this.
What you are going through now is a work in progress, so keep strong
Think of good things, favourite things, meditation, yoga, and positive thinking are all good, so is gentle reflexology, these things will make you stronger and more able to handle what you are going through at the moment, I know it is difficult but try not to think negative thoughts. Dont try to take on too much when you are tired from the radiation therapy, read books that interest you and try to rest when you get tired. Good luck with the chemo and stay positive.

Try not to be silly, as you put it, with your diet jsbach, your liver needs all the help it can get, eat and drink things that are not going to make it struggle, be kind to it and make it strong. Focus on the good things and what you want to get done.
Here,s wishing for a good set of numbers on your next results

Hi Meagan,
I hope that you are progressing well with your treatment. I think an important thing is to work with it and see the chemo as a good thing fighting the tumours and shrinking them. When my wife was diagnosed with the same some 2 years ago, she went on to folfox and with understanding the potential side affects such as fatigue, then plan some quiet days after the chemo, the neuropathy then keep away from the fridge / freezer. car a/c at all times, in cold weather have gloves always handy, with dry skin apply a moisturiser gently to dry areas, make sure your toothbrush is the soft type, try to minimise the effects of the chemo and you will feel better and be stronger. My wife had 48 cycles without a break of various types of folfox, folfiri, avastin, 5fu with very little in the way of side effects. Hang in there

Hi, main thing is to stay positive, it really makes you stronger, while you have to wait for the bed and staging, try relaxing and meditating, lower the stress levels, it helps. a relative of mine went in for an op, and during the procedure they came across cancer in the bladder and they removed it there and then, he was put on medication, not chemo and he is now fine, that was 12 mths ago. try not to think the worst.

Hi Elaine,
It seems that everything that can go wrong will go wrong, just at a time in your live that you dont need it, it happened to me. I have never had a motor vehicle ax in my life, but sure enough, someone wrote my car off, and my lovely wife was in the middle of her battle with cancer, its like living in a nightmare that you cannot wake up from.
All I can say is to hang in there, solve each problem as it comes up and do your best, all seems to be against you, but be strong, do not loose it.

Hi Lynne,
It is indeed devastating news, I remember when when in the doctors surgery after the results for my wifes blood tests and scans came back and he said, it is cancer. Our world went from one of colour to one of grey, stay positive Lynne, it helps, it makes you stronger,

Hi camel,
you are doing very well, have a rethink about the hugs, if it dosnt work out for your friend, you may think back and wish you had, after all they cost nothing and mean so much
All people are different, but I liked it when people talked to me about my wifes cancer, people that do that are interested, and it is good for people to talk about it and not to pretend it isnt happening.
