I was 40 when diagnosed with stage 2 bowel cancer and like yourself I was fit and had 2 young children.   While it's important to be realistic about outcomes, it's just as important to live with hope for the future. Seek advise on treatments and possible treatments, and do everything you can to give yourself the best possible chance at a good outcome. Your life is not over and your treatment has only just begun. Hi Lamos, Welcome aboard! I had treatment and chemotherapy for bowel cancer a number of years ago now. Like yourself I developed neuropathy during treatment, which continued to get worse for a couple of months after treatment. For myself, it gradually improved slowly over a couple of years. Now it simply manifests itself as a 30% loss of feeling in my feet (when I'm in bare feet, it feels like I'm wearing thick socks) and a little loss in my hands. Hi, This is really tough. I'm very sorry to hear this. Sometimes life deals us some pretty tough blows.   I would give CancerCouncil a call and see if they are able to help. They may well be able to put you in touch with an organisation that can help you. Hi @Halfglassfull2  I'm sorry to hear about your partner. I hope you are otherwise well. In regards to the surgery and radiation treatment, might be a good idea to talk to his doctor with him.
