Great question Julie.
I too have often wondered how those who never even get a cold get struck down with cancer if ti is linked to the immune system.(And you with the double whammy of MS as well)

Thanks Sailor. It is one option that my GP and I initially discussed. I may well be heading that way i think.

Found out today that a friend who had survived 5 years of caeliac disease and then breast cancer (radiation treatment adn hormones) has been diagnosed with 4 tumours in her brain. She is having surgery on Thursday. Not sure if it is a new primary or mets from the breast.
I know we hear about it all the time but it still sucks.

Thanks Mihalo.
My feet seem to go from bad to worse and the neuropathy manifests irself it achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciatis.
I agree - the first 10 steps are the killers and the necessity of nowhhaving to only tolerate sensible shoes!
My hands are also much worse at night and I have to have them extended straight out. No curling them up under the chin. This has slightly lessend in the past couple of months. The bugger is that it interrupts what sleep I actually get.
I see my oncologist in March and will definitely chat to him about it.
HAven't tried a naturopath. I did have some benefit from acupuncture but unfortunately the funding problem reared its ugly head and I had to stop going.
Other than that doing well!
Glad to hear from you. Keep beating those odds.

Only a Teacher-mum would comment that you don't have time.
I recall being in hospital throwing up so much that I had to have a naso-gastric tube inserted. I told the nurse that I don't have time for this as my yr 12 class needed to do revision and that my son had his HSC coming up.
Good luck and I hope that everything behaves itself.

So glad to hear that Alex is improving.
My son is also named Alex and my heart tugs every time I catch up with you and your Alex.
Jill and Jules, my kids use MSN (or now Facebook)- I think I am just too old and that Julie 190270 is just much more up to date!

Hi Aylaah,
Please take heart from all of us here.
Never apologise for venting - we all do it . We all need it.
The not knowing how long must be agonising but I guess it menas that you deal with what you see as important.
Beautiful quote Sailor.

It's amazing sometimes how parents can be perceptive enough to know that fish and chips were needed! My parents would often instinctively turn up when things were grim.
Hope you enjoyed the swim. It can often be a good leveller for kids of a variety of ages.
Take 10 minutes extra in the shower. Maybe a bath? Bugger any water restrictions.
