Oh crickeys ... when i was in hospital with my probably ms i was visited by some verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry religious people and apparently i got ms and my previous cancer because i have been a bad person ... my response in my head "yeah right, I think not!!!". THis time i have been told i got a base of the tongue tumour because I dont speak out enough. If it were that simple dont they think everyone would never have this insidious disease? If the answers as to whey we get it were simple do they not think they would have found a cure by now? Hang in there Bluejandaling, it does get easier. lol Vicki ... now everytime i feel frustrated I will think of the headless running around. 😄 It is understandable to have felt the way you did after your daughter left. Am glad you enjoyed your time together and that the emotional bit passed. It is a tough gig the one that we do and there is no sure fire way of getting through. Hiya S A wise lady gave me that scenario a long time ago. I was studying at the time and ended up doing a work prac that entailed me being in contact with child sex abusers. I was horrified at the time and very uncertain as to how i could be non judgemental with the abusers. I was given the scenario I have mentioned and I instantly felt easier, although, of course not totally at ease. 🙂 So, yes, you were being heavy handed with yourself but as always you see the right path to take. Hey Vicki Anne Congrats and roll on the end of chemo for you! I am sure it is a weird feeling but be assured that chemo does not stop working the moment it is stopped. It has taken a whole year for me to feel nearly normal after chemo. Only saying that to outline that it does stay in our system and I have felt "ok" just energy levels lacking. @ Harker You hit the nail on the head or the author did, in that people want us back to where we once were and to be the people they knew. The problem is we aren't and cannot be that due to our experiences. Reality is that this in turn confuses people because they simply don't understand what has happened to us. I think we just need to gently break them in and give them little reminders that we are different now, so things will be different but similar between us. 🙂 Sorry if i have you and the author mixed up ... tis late here and just got home and wanted to reply to this because I am out again in the morning.
