PTDT Yup re confusion and it lasts after treatment also, so don't be suprised to find yourself forgetting things you normally would remember. Walking into a room and forgetting why you are there. Your body is undergoing a lot of shock at the moment so just take it as it comes and although pushing through things is good on one hand, no point in pushing yourself too much. Julie ... View more

Hi Kellie Thanks for the interesting read and very sorry to read about your Dad! I think I was a classed as a young adult with my first cancer (being 30?) and you are right there is not a lot out there for young survivors nor older ones really. Although I guess that statement depends on what cancer you get. I have no idea what makes some people survive and others not and I guess the onco's don't really know either or else someone would have tapped into that one well and truly! I remember with my first cancer feeling immensely powerful at times and almost invincible as you have described. I found that settled over time though and life pretty much got back to normal and I hardly think about that first cancer these days. My first daignosis was 25 years ago ... wow! Thanks Kas ... really I am just going back to a Company that I have worked for. Next year will be a bit exciting I am hoping, if all goes to plan.
