Hi @Richard56  I absolutely go through nothing like you  and Cindi and many others, my hospital stays maybe two nights and yes I have gone through lots of surgery procedures, 12 BCG and three chemos and multiple stent changes, I have never been on any medication other than Panadol I rarely have pain and my side affects only last a day and always back to normal, l  am  T1G3 high grade but if I didn’t know, I wouldn’t know anything was wrong, I have a stent that I have had for over eighteen months and wouldn’t know it was there, I feel like such a fraud at times when I hear the struggles you and others are going through  I try not to think about anything being wrong but at times it does get to me ,  I never take it to seriously, my professor knows this and I believe this is why I received a two page email from him recently, I think to have in writing for me how serious I am.  I will be having surgery in three weeks, Robotic major surgery cystectomy and uretherectomy  which will see pain and a long recovery  Has become time to seriously get rid of this cancer and the rare cancer  kind thoughts with you Jennifer      ... Hi @Richard56  Anxiety is something we certainly suffer, and I have had nine surgeries in the last 18months and as I lie on the bed waiting to go to theatre I have suffered meltdowns, the day before hospital is usually full of anxiety. Everyone is different and although my GP has thought anti depressants maybe a good idea I have never gone with any medication, I find my clear muddled head gets me through  My treatments are surgery when tumours that keep growing are cut away and my bladder is dosed up with potions that have come to an end of working,  I have a stent in my ureter and the cancer is lasered at end  thoughts with you always stay strong  ... Hi @Cindi54    you certainly are having a rotten time with your chemo, I hope they get it right for your well being soon I don’t understand why your doctor says kidney and ureter cancer called bladder cancer as a separate organ, most people with bladder cancer will not get the other two and bladder cancer treated so differently, I don’t really know but some information does say some doctors will say they are connected, I know my doctor doesn’t  I hope you feel better in the next week  💖😘💖😘 ... Hi @Cindi54  I know I don’t have options other than the major surgery as once cancer is in my body options then are chemo, pain and side affects  professor has said we need a good talk, so I guess this will happen on Wednesday  I don’t think about it  at all really and I’m even thankful that at night my brain has tuned off lately  although my cancer is serious I do not go through the trauma of side  affects and pain like you and so many others do with delays as well  my thoughts always with you 😘😘 ... Hi @Cindi54  I’m  well I see my professor next week but I have not made any decisions on surgeries or treatments. Although my cancer high grade I am totally pain free I take no medications and never have other than Panadol when I’ve needed anything for stent pain. This is the reason very hard to make any decisions as I am well. Although I have had nine  surgeries in 18 months these are to change stent, laser on ureter and biopsies and as I constantly have tumours returning and new ones these are cut away, I am in hospital two nights pain free  with what you and Richard and Greg are going through with after effects is heartbreaking,  although as my professor says my cancer serious and complex I am good which makes decisions hard to make,  life is good      ...
