Hi Samex
Thanks, the feet still have some numbness. The legs are weaker and abit unsteady as well. Went shopping at the local shopping plaza last week and my sister-in-law took me around in a wheelchair. Cant walk very far. I do as much walking as I can around the house to keep the muscles going. Looking forward to them improving after christmas. I know it will still take time. I want to stand and walk around at my daughters wedding in march without any aids to help me. so I will be working on that alot from now on. Sorry to ramble on.
Cheers Vicki

Hi Willow,
We are thinking of you and its not whinging to vent out your feelings. Especially as we all have some idea of what you're going through. Take care of yourself and know these feelings are natural and ok. As long as you can still see the light.

Thanks Harker,
I get your point, include even ungrateful days, because that is part of the journey as well. I dont plan on putting a photo of me everyday, just something to do with that day. Today I have several doctors appts , so I have photographed the clinic and receptionist. LOL..
Got some really good news today. The lesions/tumours on my liver have shrunk, we have regression folks. Yippeeeeeee. Who could ask for better. My chemo finishes on Tuesday 28th December and then I will be closely monitored every 2 months at this stage. Still one step at a time. :)
Cheers

Hi Rebecca,
Thank you for your great post. I have Oesophageal cancer ( not very common) with liver mets as well. So have had radiation and now going through chemo. I love reading post like yours as it gives me a huge injection of hope. I try to be upbeat and positive most days, but the side effects of chemo take its toll. only about 4 weeks to go hopefully.
I cant take vitamin c tabs as they are very acidic and irritate the oesophagus to point everything hurts going down again. Kiwi fruit I found the same. Do you have any ideas on something else. I am happy to try all the vegetable juices.
I am going to put the line you have in your post ALWAYS BELIEVE IN HEALING everywhere I can see it.
Thank you
Cheers Vicki

Hi everyone.
I came across this project that others have done several times recently and wondered if anyone else has done this or heard of someone doing it.
I started yesterday. I created a book where I can put a photo per day and a bit of writing, to represent something that has happened in my day. The challenge is to choose just one photo everyday for 365 days.. I put my Christmas tree up yesterday, being the 1st December, its tradition for me even though my family have grown and moved away. So that is the first photo for my book.
Would love to know if any one has seen one done or finished. LOL hopefully I wont get sick of it. It gives me motive for each day, no matter how small. 🙂 I am also going to incorporate a grateful line on each page.
Today I have an Oncologist appt.to get results of Liver scan this time so hopefully good news there again. So todays photo could be a picture of the receptionist in the clinic.. LOL.
Take care everyone and I look forward to hearing from you all in your blogs.
Cheers Vicki

Hi Reindeer,
Your words are great, I was actually on the beach for a moment with sand oozing between by toes enjoying those beautiful colours and the rhythm of the waves.

I love your happy place. The beach, or a roaring fire, watching the flames. Gotta have somewhere to go.

I have just got home from hospital after my gastroscopy this morning. I am very pleased with the results from this. It seems all the radiation and chemo are doing their job. I have a small ulcer left down in the stomach area and only a small pocket of what looks like a bit of cancer in the mid chest area. (He gave me photos) They have sent off samples for biopsy. So if the liver can be so kind as to follow suit, what a wonderful world it would be LOL..... The physician seemed pleased. Last time I woke up from my first Gastroscopy , the comment I got was, "its pretty nasty down there, do you want to travel to Melbourne or Adelaide."
Have a good day
Cheers

Hi Judith,
I am going through Chemo at the moment, and have leg problems, got about 5 weeks to go now,(which will make 5 months) and am having the same problems. hope yours gets better as well.
Thanks Samex and Zen for the comments, Its good to hear from others that it does get better. Samex, I am trying the feet elevated bit too. Have to do this lying in bed as I would never get off the floor otherwise. LOL. and trying not to cross legs, which is a really bad habit of mine. I figure nothing is too small to try.
Cheers

Chuckling, can just picture this. Sounds like a load of fun. Hope it got fixed and you got back up and had another go. Do you just have the helicopter or a fixed wing plane as well?
Cheers
