Thanks Margro, how I wish. Pretty much the same symptons that sent me to Hospital in January 2007. Diagnosis unkown. I have always tried to live with this illness, not live it. When something physical happens I need to deal with it. Probably just a big old bag of wind. Cheer Mazza

I am okay, on the improve. Diagnosed with gastric reflux. I was prescribed (think it was) pariet before leaving hospital I was vomitting my daily food and liquid intake about 5.00p.m every day. Tried to tell them it was the tablet. This continued when I returned home so I just stopped taking them. That was an allergic reaction. Most of the other available medication was related to pariet. I cannot take maxalon either, left side of my face semi paralized. At present trying a new medication called Tazac for reflux, so far so good. Will be trying Creon when chemist gets them in. Morale of this story, don't think the worst. Look further. Had a lovely chat with Doctor on Thursday about not treating people by the book. He took it well and appreciated my humour about keeping him on his toes. Good when you can say these things to a good Doctor. Cheers Mazza

I had Whipples surgery two years ago. I have never had digestive enzyme. I have not been very well this week, I know something has changed to cause this present situation. I cannot see a Doctor until this week. In the mean time I would like to know what digestive enzyme can do for me? cheers Mazza

Hi Margro Have $20.00 so far, not much but better than nothing. Will catch up with rest of family when not so busy. Will try elsewhere as well. Forgive any mistakes I make tonight, tired. Man am I naughty, still have toast butter and vegemite. Do have the occassional bit of chocolate, have not have a mars bar since, like you I drool. This may be why I have been in trouble lately, been on the merry go round tests. Cannot take reflux medication, Doctor not sure if my problems are from reflux or food not emptying from stomach quick enough. Have to have one more test which involves a tube down the nose, had no joy with nasal gastric after surgery, (Not a good memory) so not in a hurry to have this test. Been to G.P today we are trying another medication, keep fingers crossed because if it is reflux it means surgery, nasal gastric tube YUK! and six weeks recovery. Have to be out of my house by first week in August, surgery not an option at the moment. How is Jed and Elly May, lucky you have them. Sorry about the waffling on. Keep up the good work. cheers Mazza

Hi! Margro So sorry about your recent misfortune. I remember the feeling of total violation very well. I do not understand what drives the low lifes to do what they do. I cannot understand why they think others are better off. But then again I suppose we are, we do not stoop to their low level of life. I admire you for your courageous effort for the walk, keep up the good work. Weather is dead set pain at the moment, I am sure you will do it. Wish I had the stamina to train with you. Go Margro. Yes there are times when the world seems against one, it is a problem when it becomes a frequent event. Hey! we have been through heaps though. Cannot let a low life get to one. Go Margro cheers Mazza

Hi Margro Getting slower in my maturity (old age) as in noticing this post. I have been very busy also. Perhaps too busy starting to catch up with the body. Maybe you are right about the lack of appetite, I am finding bland food pretty boring though and manage to eat for the sake of eating. Sometimes when I have not eaten I find myself in pain and a nibble at something can reduce this pain. Apart from the loss of previous lifestyle, food is one of the things I miss most. To be able to eat whatever with no consequence. I hope you are managing to eat something substantial to assist with your training. You are unreal, go girl. I will try and get some money from family to support your cause. Take care Cheers Mazza

In reference to Tuesday nights live chat, easiyo was mentioned. Easiyo is easy and cheaper to make your own yoghurt, originally cost about $20.00 for plasic jar and yoghurt maker. Sachets which make 1kg, usually available in the sweet section e.g tin fruit etc of supermarkets. Probotic? the Dieticians were talking about is live cultures in the yoghurt. Good for gut problems. Easiyo contain these. No I do not work for them or receive any endorsements, I just enjoy the cheaper quality yoghurt. Cheers Mazza

Hi! everyone has been reasonably quiet of late, hope that is a good thing.I had my whipples surgery November 2005. Since then I usually end up in Hospital January and July in the beginning reason was unknown. Last July they found somac (reflux medication) agreed with me,things were going pretty good. I have not changed my diet, yesterday I started with the belching and pain you would not believe. started off throwing up bile then whatever fluid I drank,I decided to run with it as they never know what is wrong. I nearly rang an ambulance at 9.00pm as I thought I was going to die, pretty scary when you are on your own. I know I was badly dehydrated as had pain in left kidney? The throwing up eventually settled I did manage to get some sleep my tummy cushion a comfort. I am seeing Doctor on Friday for referal for usual tests. I just need to know if this happens to anyone else.
