Hi Toni3,   I’m sorry your feeling so sick  after CT. I hope your bloods come back fine but it does sound like your thyroid has  taken up the iodine. It makes you feel pretty crappy. I’m glad no more contrast. I’m hedging you still have a thyroid gland with Hashimotos. I don’t have a thyroid anymore but they assured me with contrast I would be fine. Just replying to the post regarding reaction to CT contrast. Years ago I had a mjmtinildular goitre. I had forgotten about it as I wasn’t symptomatic. I had an abdominal CT scan with iodine contrast. Apparently techs are supposed to ask you if you have any thyroid conditions. I got really sick and developed thyrotoxicosis. It was months of being sick before diagnosed. Request no iodine contrast as it does interfere with thyroid. Get your bloods done to check you haven’t gone hyperthyroid. I’m sorry no one advised you. Hi Footie  it’s been awhile I had a second breast cancer so I haven’t been online. How are you going? My duodenal gist has been monitored for years it’s 2cm I constantly feel sick and I’m in so much abdominal pain, however surgeon doesn’t think it’s related. He is sitting on the fence as to the option of surgery. He told me it’s a big one.  My gastroenterologist thinks I just have severe ibs.
