Hello, I have/had I am not sure cancer if the Oesophagus. I have had surgey and they removed my oesophagus and used my stomach as the oesophagus. Anyway I had immunotherapy for a few months and then had a reaction to it.  i t caused a reaction in my lungs and I have had respiratory failure twice. Anyway I survived but Immunotherapy does offer help but it doesn’t always go the way you want it to. i have had almost 2 years of the Big C and have tired to pretend its all ok but in truth mentally not so good. Fair call. One could argue the medical centre which is making you better, is about making you well, not about cancer. Yes this is probably a bit of a stretch. I'm sorry. When we're unwell and many will be down in the dumps, we're trying to concentrate on what we are doing right, and not what is wrong. Hello I  hear you. I was recently diagnosed and was self employed and am not allowed to work. i couldn’t anyway. I have medical certificates and have to apply for “job seeker”. I ,tired explain I am not seeking a job but thats what I have to do? Madness. i too am not eligible for anything by a hairs breadth. I can’t get transport funding as you have to be 100 klms from the specialist and I am 88 klms. i can’t get a healthcare card as I am not in receipt of Centrelink payments, which I can’t get because my husband works and gets just over the amount allowed.  i have to have supplements which we pay for, meds which we pay for, petrol back and forth (we are rural) blah blah. applying for all this whilst having daily treatment is a nightmare.
