Welcome to the latest edition of the Cancer Council Online Community news.
Can you believe we're now at 5,680 members? A big welcome if you've joined us in the last month!
We've seen some amazing conversations taking place in the forums over the past few weeks, with many members sharing their experiences or simply supporting others who have shared theirs or had a question to ask.
If you've not yet had the chance to post, jump on in!
Our feedback survey
There was a short piece about the feedback survey, but this has since closed - thank you to everyone who participated, we really value your thoughts and ideas.
This survey has given us a clearer understanding of the way you use the Online Community and will, going forward, serve to inform our ongoing development of information, content and engagement to meet the needs of people in our community.
Brain fog and cancer
Many people diagnosed with cancer notice they feel a bit muddled – they may have difficulty concentrating, focusing and remembering things. Lots of people call this “chemo brain” and “cancer fog”.
Cancer Council has produced two new resources to help people understand it better and how it can be managed:
Healthy Living after Cancer program
Healthy Living after Cancer is a free telephone health coaching program for people who have finished their treatment for cancer and wanting support to make lifestyle changes.
The final recruitment for the Healthy Living after Cancer program is September 2018 so enrol now to be part of our free health coaching program.
To find out more or to be part of the program please email us on hlac@nswcc.org.au.
Alternatively, fill out our online form and one of our team members will return your call. Or call 131120 for more information.
