We've seen some amazing conversations taking place in the forums over the past few weeks, with many members sharing their experiences or simply supporting others who have shared theirs or had a question to ask.

Our feedback surveylaptop.jpg

There was a short piece about the feedback survey, but this has since closed - thank you to everyone who participated, we really value your thoughts and ideas.

This survey has given us a clearer understanding of the way you use the Online Community and will, going forward, serve to inform our ongoing development of information, content and engagement to meet the needs of people in our community.

Janette-Vardy_S2_400px.jpgBrain fog and cancer

Many people diagnosed with cancer notice they feel a bit muddled – they may have difficulty concentrating, focusing and remembering things. Lots of people call this “chemo brain” and “cancer fog”.

Cancer Council has produced two new resources to help people understand it better and how it can be managed:

  • Understanding Changes in Thinking and Memory fact sheet. This is now available to read online or as a downloadable PDF.
  • Brain Fog and Cancer podcast episode. Julie McCrossin chats with medical oncologist Professor Janette Vardy about her research into “chemo brain” and what you can do to manage it.
