Dear All, Sorry we have not been blogging lately, we have been very busy helping Josh get along in his quest for a healthy fulfilling life!! :) But... We do have some great news to lift the spirits of you all. Josh was meant to have Intra Ocular Chemo last week, the first one in Australia. Joshua's Opthalmic Surgeon used the Ret-Cam to take photos to see how the tumors were responding to his normal rounds of chemo.

Dear Tom I decided to type this as my handwriting isn’t great. I find myself preparing Action Memos for Jacinta and then tearing them off the top of the pad and scrunching them up. I start again and wonder what’s been happening to my muscles, co-ordination, timing and sense of audience. I have been writing in a journal and it’s pretty awful to look at. After a day or so I can neither recognize nor remember my own words. But that’s OK in my journal at the moment. It’s more important to write it down than to have it presentable.

Hi everyone, After having a successful bowel resection back in 2009 and being declared 'cancer free' I have now been told by my oncologist that I have mets of the liver. I have not even completed my 12 cylces of chemo yet. Just finished my 7th last week. I am due for a PET scan on 23 June and am devasted by this new challenge. Has anyone else been through this? I thought I was winning. It sems that I am not. Any advice from anyone right now would help. Thanks Jasmine

I think that the topic of 'Sexuality' is a great discussion point which is very relevant to young adults affected by cancer, whether they are single, married or mingling to find the 'right one'. AND 'finding the right one' is quite a challenge when you carry the scars and emotions associated with having cancer at a time in life when you are so young and active. I know because I was single when I was diagnosed!

Hi Guy's I'm writing an update on Wazza. He's travelling OK. He's still weak from chemo, even with the lower dose. His nausea is the biggest problem, were copping with it, we have too, don't we. Yesterday Wazz had an appointment with his oncologist. An hour before we left home, Wazz was having trouble coordinating his left hand (his left handed), we put it down to him having had a hot shower & still weak from chemo. On the way into the hospital he was having funny feeling in his left hand & his left arm kept falling off the arm rest.

Hello, I am new at this and not sure what I am supposed to say. Last March, I was diagnosed with Uterine Cancer and after many treatments and a hysterectomy I was declared clear. Then in May this year, my Oncologist informed me that the Cancer had returned in a more agressive manner. I am waiting to have a PET scan to determine if it is operable or not, if it is, then I will have to have my bladder, bowel and vagina removed, this I am not thrilled about, if not then I have a twelve month life expectancy, I am not thrilled about that either.
