I am now at day 12 post melanoma removal by wide excision with a skin graft. The graft has 70% taken which I am told is good. The original hole in my arm was large enough to sit an egg in and it is now down to a soup spoon in depth. I have done a photo journal to compare each dressing change. My family have finally discovered washing ironing and cooking out of necessity. My pathology says all cancerous cells have been removed and I seriously think that advertising for skin cancers is very blasé and nowhere near reality. Thank you for the advice regarding a head cold before my operation.

Hi I have been told I have Cancer twice in my life and spoken to many people who also have. You are sitting across from a Doctor who doesn't know you very well, has lots of other patients, so probably by necessity has to distance themselves, and they just say those 4 little words "Sorry you have cancer" .

This is my story of what lead up to the utterance of those 4 little words "You have Cancer" So for me those 4 little words meant the diagnosis of Uterine Cancer. I need some advice on how to deal with my parents as my mum has stage four cancer her brain, lungs, liver, kidneys. How do we cope with bad days. Such as mum having out burst and Dad reacting to it quiet angrily. They are both in their seventies. I new at this.

Hi everyone. So its been a while since I wrote, but I am going through a lot since NY grandmother was diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. Even after what I have been through, I am struggling to relate to her because as the old saying goes, no two cancer stories are the same. Well my husband had his Sirt treatment on 5th August with very little side effects was hard as we had to sleep seperatley for a week and the dog couldn't sleep with him she was a bit confused lol Today he has gone for a bike ride with our children and friends from the bike club to the motorcycle museum, he is amazingly stong, the only advantage of his cancer is that he dosnt have systemetic chemo that makes you sick all the time, he has to have a scan to see if the sirt has controlled his tumour in 6 weeks so more waiting but I have decided to just enjoy the next 6 weeks just in case
