Hi Mandz65 Sorry to read of the loss of your parents. It could be because of your recent loss ,but I would see your GP explain the position and ask for an ultrasound,a CA19.9 blood test, and if possible a ct scan, with such a history of pc in your family you can’t afford to be complacent as so far there are no early warning test.be proactive not reactive.Keep on top of any symptoms.

Hi Kolt I can’t find the right words to reply to you, except to say your story is very moving, the things I take doing for granted are an exercise in your strength and will power to even open your mouth for soup it obviously takes a Herculean effort on your behalf, don’t be hard yourself ,we are human and make mistakes during our lifetime ,yes such a thing as a kiss with loved ones, what we take as a normal part of life you would surely miss,I can read that the little boy and his god bless meant so much to you and still does,I send you best wishes,on your recovery I hope you get to taste a steak again, so very true ,unless someone has walked in your shoes it can’t be understood no matter how good their intentions are, keep up the good work you are a person of great inner strength.Where there is life there is hope you are living proof of that.

Hi Budgie I love your sense of humour in regards to preparing your own coffin, death comes to us all only some sooner than later ,I can understand the sense of control it gave you,we are fortunate on this cancer forum that even though people are seriously ill they still take the time to offer a shoulder to lean on,or dispense some pearls of quality wisdom, you are one of those whose writing is full of compassion for others, a good human being and also a strong person, sending sounds like your hubby is an interesting person 👍best wishes to you also.

Hi Angel 1 Sorry to read that Stephens chemo treatment was so aggressive that his body couldn’t cope, and was hospitalised,it’s good he is back home again with you,it would have been so lovely to take him to a favourite place and making good memories for all,sad that it is a day by day thing now,but he is home where he obviously is loved and needs to be at this time with his family. Sometimes a small trip to Bunnings can bring such joy ,when I am there I keep my hands in my pockets or who knows what I will take home.
