Hi Sailor I hope everything is good with you. It has been quite a while since I have read a post from you so I sincerely hope you are ok. I saw Joe last week - he is fantastic- I told him about this site and that we use aliases and therefore anonymous. I mentioned you and the fact that you held him in high regard - huge smile came over his face then he said "well that makes 2 of you" - my sister piped up "3". I have no idea how much longer I will be on chemo and Avastin for my liver tumours, but my tumour levels have dropped from 224 to 18 - pretty damn good!! Wish I could muster up some excitement and enthusiasm, but I think they were flushed away over the last 3 weeks. Anyway, take care and hope to read some of your brilliance soon. This made me think of all the wonderful churches i have been into in europe and england, of course australia too. Although i am not particularly religious (certainly not knocking those that are) i find that in these old churches that there is just a very peaceful air about them. It was a plan of mine to go back and visit them this year, although thats been put on hold for a while.

Hey Kym
I have kept a diary of sorts, mainly dates of when what happened. My friend bought me a diary when i was hospitalised and its been fantastic although its rather large and heavy to carry around.
I have looked back and pulled out some relevant dates which was helpful in me being able to get my peg removed. Some of the dates i found quite incredible that the amount of time had passed in between.
Good luck with it and i hope you find it useful and helpful.

Just came inside after watching a sunset filled with extraordinary colours, accompanied by the breeze playing in the leaves of my neighbour’s tree.
I stayed till the sun had faded over the horizon, how beautiful it was to watch.
Then I read your poem, how lovely it was to read your beautiful words Sailor.
Your writing is a gift to us all.

Sailor you can swear as much as you like. I think you are entitled to. If it helps, I just swore for you! Probably not something you would say, but it occasionally helps me! Take a deep breath, it calms the mind.My cat whispered to me that you should take your cat to bed and let him purr you to sleep, like she does for me - cats give great advice! Take care and don't worry - it's almost Christmas

How true Sailor.
I am a bit of a Chrisophile but have found the last 2 years the attitude is calmer and possibly more reserved than previously.A new perspective.
I know that I am grateful for every Christmas that I have now but the partying is less important and the time spent with family and friends seems much more precious and imperative.
Like Jill, peace, love and stregth is what it is all about now.
To those of you rejoicing give everyone extra hugs and to those of you struggling I send cyber hugs for Chrissy.

Thanks Sailor. It is one option that my GP and I initially discussed. I may well be heading that way i think.
