Hi Ron Shame it didn't work for you. I am somewhat hopeful in my case it will be ok. It is to get some saliva happening again, or at least try for some. On a visit to the dentist he actually pushed rather hard on this particular spot and I had saliva for a short time. Hiya I can't comment on specifics as to what I would do in your situation. Except that it sounds like an incredibly insensitive situation and one that I would take my time and wait until I was strong enough to assert myself as to what I wanted to do with my father's ashes. If you think that you will have problems with these people could you get someone that you trust to advocate on your behalf?? My mum answered me when I asked her that on my first cancer diagnosis and she said "you will cope, you will dig deep and get through this" and she was right, I did. Hi Nellie There is a fair bit of new literature surrounding a head and neck HPV cancer. The treatments can be tough, as you most likely are aware. They are doable and there are things that can make life easier. Self caring is incredibly important in my opinion. IE mouth washes and salt water soaks etc.... on the radiation site. I had T4 N2 tumour base of the tongue, trachea in place from the outset and a peg tube for nutrition (beats the old nasal gastric by miles). All my best to you both. Julie ... View more
