To be honest, this happened years ago and I wish I couldve said something then because I feel very similarly. It's been 5 weeks since brain tumor surgery and I still feel wrong. I'm told that it is natural to feel anxiety and sadness with everything going on and I have resented everyone telling me this. My thoughts are all over the place. It makes me feel better to talk to someone but it's true, not everyone really gets it. I dont feel like burdening most people with these feelings either. I do hope you found solace somewhere or improved over time. Theres so little information out there even with internet and I also think the internet doesnt help so much too. There is some comfort knowing some people may have also experienced what I am feeling?

Hello Donna, This section for carers is really good and I have realised that there are so many carers that share similar experiences as I have. It can be lonely having a partner dealing with such a life-changing/threatening condition. I have felt helpless seeing my husband struggle with his cancer and keep asking him what I can do to help him. Most of the time his response is to let him rest. I have tried to keep my life as 'normal', as possible by going for walks and to the gym has been helpful. I have also been honest with my husband and how I have struggled emotionally too. I had a lady ask me if I wanted a cup of tea in the hospital today and burst into tears! I think drawing on friends that can relate has been of great comfort and this site has wonderful people who really care on it. Janey x

Daz is back in hospital. His headaches are getting worse and they still don't think it's caused by his cancer. He has a rapidly growing tumor deep inside his brain, how can that not be causing problems. I just don't understand. Whlie they were treating him when we first got into the hospital he became disoriented and aggressive and it ended up with 4 security guards holding him down until they got him sedated, poor thing is brused all over the place. Today when I went to see him he was still grumpy but much better than yesterday. He is still having moments when he is confused and he doesn't remember much of what happened yesterday, he was complaining they weren't feeding him, he told me he hadn't had any breakfast but the nurse told me he had. I hope they find a cause of all this soon and can do something to help him. I am so upset and worried.

Hi Jodii, no they still don't know why he is getting headaches. He is back in hospital again, I took him in yesterday and things are just getting worse and worse. When we were still in the emergency ward he became very confused and aggressive and it ended up with 4 security guards holding him down while they jabbed him with needles to sedate him. They said it took a lot to settle him down. He was asleep when they allowed me to go back into him. When I went to see him today he was still very angry and confused but a lot better than yesterday thank goodness. They are waiting on results of tests to see if they can find out why he was like that. They still don't think it's his cancer giving him the headaches or mood swings so who knows what is going on.

Hi Jodii, thanks for your reply. Yes Darryn is having a lot of trouble eating, he has no appetite and also even the thought and smell of food has him gaging and feeling sick. Don't worry about asking dumb questions, thats what we all come here for, to help people and get advice for ourselves. It's such a great help having a place like this to ask questions and rant when we need it. I wish you and Erik the very best and hope you are coping ok. Feel free to ask me anything, I am here for you anytime. Daz is starting a new drug trial so we are hoping this gives us more time together and not to many side effects. Geraldine. 🙂

It's day 2 of radiation today, it was an early appointment so Daz said his Mum will take him but when it was time to leave she refused to drive him and he went on his own. Not sure why she didn't take him but could be because we went to see his sister last night and they talked about his Mum, so Kym must have called her when we leaft their place. Who knows but it a lousy thing to do I think. I wish Daz had of let me know and I would have taken him. poor Daz dosn't need that sort of thing, he has enough to cope with. So far no side affects. Let's hope it stays that way.
