Well done to you three, 6 rounds.
When I was going thru chemo one carer could not manage assisting me and children. More help was needed. And this included when I was in hospital.
Sometimes the children would go away for blocks of time, I fortunately had grandparents near for first 2 months.
Most times there would be two carers, to assist me, keep home running with the children. And give eachother a break.
I was very clear in care of the children, I did not want them stressed by well-meaning talk or actions.
The schools were great support for my children and still are.

I don't have same cancer.
Really encourage you to just keep talking.
I tried a journal but am too verbal for it.
The Cancer Council Helpline staff have been good for me, I feel better after talking with them.
I've also got access to a social worker.
Thoughts with you.

Wow. I recall feeling like a road train had ran over me when I got told I had lymphoma (non-hodgkin) - the Haemotologist came in specially on a Sunday to deliver the news. The whole ward knew something was up then.
The news just got worse as more test results came in... Not one type of lymphoma but two etc.
I took your attitude - I didn't bother getting all involved with the whys and what - I just started doing whatever I could to fight it.
No matter how small or seemingly easy.
Go You.

Hello
My Doctor has just raised 'return to work' as a topic for our future appointments...
Though I'd been trying to prepare for it (in my head) - I was so surprised and did a great goldfish imitation. Made him laugh (rare for him).
Have now booked flights to visit home to flush out my resume and have talk or two at my old work place. Added bonus of seeing children.
Hope your gradual program with school going well!!!!!!!

Well... I was so busy in 2012 with treatment and preparing to relocate for further treatment that I really didn't have time to reflect. Now I have ALL this time... with nothing to fill it.
Specialist recently allowed me a short trip home to see children. That was hard. Being tourist in own town. Visitor to own children. Really drove home to me how my situation has changed.
Fortunately in only a few weeks the children will visit me for school holidays. Then I'll be in for it.
