my mum has been diagnosed with cancer for the 3rd time. She started with breast cancer 2 years ago and had radiation and chemo to treat it plus a mastectomy.
A year later she was diagnosed with Lung cancer and she had an operation to cut out the lower lobe then chemo to “Clean up” the left over bits.
6 months later, she has really severe back pain which we have now found out to be cancer of the lung again and even in the groin. They have said Chemo wont really do much and said the pain may only be managed by really strong pain killers with a 12 month time limit to live. The Morphine they give her every 4 hours is clearly not improving her situation at all.
I will do absolutely anything to make her better. Is there anything there that has been tried that can help her? I will do anything she is so special to me

Ohh Destiny I am so so sorry to hear. I am new to this site too. I am going through something very simular, my mum to has lung cancer for the 3rd time and she only has 12 months to live we have just been told. I know and feel the pain you are going through.
One thing I do know, is doctors are not always right and there is always hope. With my mums prognosis I am trying so hard to be positive and we are trying a new therapy called the Gerson Therapy. I am trying to find more info from people that practice here and as soon as I know more I will let you know.
I understand how you want to run and hide, I feel the same. Its so hard to think that the most important person to me is dying. I cant believe it. I think you need to give your self time away, your not being selfish your giving yourself time. I do know though you have to face it at some stage. I am trying to also.
Please look after yourself, you need to be strong for your mum.

Has anyone tried the Gerson Therapy or traveled overseas to start this? Iam looking for someone locally in australia that may be a home trainer or someone that can assist us as my mum is too ill to travel overseas for this therapy?
