Hi Bruce. I have 4th stage breast cancer. By the time it was found it was inoperable in two places in my first vertebrae and on my artery in the back of my head it is terminal. I had ten treatments of radiation to the back of my head. Really great treatment only side effects was like sunburn to the back of throat.I am not being offered chemo so I can't tell about that. I was given months to live that was 3 and half years ago. I recomend radiation to anyone who can get it.

After my 10 treatments of radiation and adjusting to my tablets of lyrics oxycontin tamoxifan and a heap of other drugs I was pretty ga ga. I had so many people telling me what was best for me what I should eat what I shouldn't eat what I should do and what I shouldn't be doing. I had so many people offering me knowledge of cures. There was so many I went to my doctor and asked her what I should do she basically told me if the boats not rocking Dont rock it. I decided to try a natural one which was to boil paw paw leaves and have a cup of tea 3 times a day with it like u would use milk. In my game ga state I never thought and in the morning had a whole cup of it instead of a little bit and I did the same at lunch. I never had another one I was sick. I spent the next 5 weeks in bed I thought I was during I thought this is it but eventually I recovered. I asked my doctor and my specialist what was so wrong with me I thought I was dieing neither had an answer. They couldn't tell me. That was my only try at cures. Whether its why I am still here today I Dont know with my cancer the specialist said its usually 2to3 years it is now 3 and a half

Leading up to the cancer it was 9months before and I had gone back to work after 20years. After 7months I started getting headaches I went to the doctor I told her I was so tired she said I was working to hard. A few weeks later I went back I told her I banged my head into the oven door at work I told her again about my headaches and being so tired and again nothing was done. I told her I had swallowed a box of panadol and nurofen which shocked her as she knows I dont even usually take panadol. My headaches were getting worse even if I raised my arm above my head it felt like the skin was ripping from my head. It was one day when I had been down to get my roster when my daughter snuck out of the car and raced around to the front and gave me a scare when my vertebrae shattered. I couldn't get out of the car for nearly half hour. The next day I went to the doctor and he said it was a jinked neck. 2 weeks later he said the same so he got behind me and tried to straighten it I screamed and leapt out of the chair. A week later I went back and then he decided to do a ct scan.it showed the mass on my main artery in my head. I was sent for an MRI they rang me next day and asked me to come back. After the MRI the doctor they had present told me I need to go to a hospital I asked him if there was anymore he said no. I was then told to sign myself into the hospital and I did. They did scans and when they were done I was told it looks like its benign and there's no more in my body. I was sent to Brisbane and I was there for 2 days when I was told I had breast cancer in 4places.

I was diagnosed with fourth stage metastisised breast cancer in 2013. I was given months to a year to live. The cancer was found in four places. My right breast 8 lymph nodes under my arm a patch on the main artery in the back of my head and has eaten out my first vertebrae. They removed it from under my arm and my breast. They gave me 10 treatments of radiation put me on tamoxifan told me their not offering me chemo and told me there's nothing else they can do for me. That was just the beginning of my journey.
