Hu, still weak, still tired but getting there ..... had my last chemo..... it's over :) Is it? First check up in three weeks with my chemo oncologist, in another three weeks seeing my surgeon and then in another three weeks seeing my radiation oncologist and so on and on and on ..... ?????? It doesn't sound real but it is, it's my life from now on ..... never was very simple and for sure it is never going to be. I am used to fight for my life and again I'm a SURVIVER ...... :)))))))

Am staying at my parents place for a few days just to escape everything for a while and relax. Went fishing with dad and a friend yesterday and got 15 fish which was fun. Was worn out by the end of the day and slept all the way home. Don't know whether its the worry wearing me out or what, but simple tasks seem to take their toll on me and I get tired a lot quicker these days. The results of my colonoscopy and gastroscopy came back all clear which is good so the cancer hasnt spread there. Am going back home in a couple of days and have an appointment to see the oncology team on the 28th sept.

Chemotherapies are not all the same. They can be as individual as the cancer they are treating. I have my PICC 2.0 and just started a chemotherapy called Folfox4. Cool name. Get foxy Chemotherapy is often a combinations of drugs. There is the specific cytotoxin that attacks cancer cells and then other drugs and substances added to support this. Folfox4 is specifically for Stage III coloretcal cancer. It has friends treating other colorectal cancers that go by the names Folfiri, Folfoxiri, Folfox6, Folfox7, Fuox, Fufox, Xelox, and Flox.

I had a stroke (TIA) the day after my last day of radiation 1 month ago. My family went into total panic mode, very protective and I couldn't drive for the month (legal condition). I know I have it so good compared with so many others but right now just need to vent a little. Am so pissed off with the TIA - it was like an incredible double whammy. The burns from the radiation continued to get way worse while I was in hospital with the TIA and for a week and a half after finishing the radiation before turning the corner and beginning to heal. Today they are great.

just wondering if anybody has used this essiac treatment before?
