Hi Everybody It has been a great Easter. Nothing has happened according to plan, but what has happened has been good. For the last three days I have been carrying on as if I did not have cancer at all and I haven't thought about my cancer at all. It has also meant that I have been well, things have been happening that are good for the family. Its been great. Cheers Sailor

HI, Well Yesterday was a sorry for Livey day..i did not feel so crash hot..very sore breast.and just yucky. I cant believe that you can have a operation on your breast and then send you out of hospital on the same day..i had my op at 1.30 then by 7 that night i was out..the drive home was a nightmare..as i live 1hour from the hospital..lucky i had someone to drive me. But i am ready to climb the next hill..OH THOSE HILLS!!. LIVE LAUGH LOVE LIVEY.

Well it happened i had my operation yesterday..all went well but i have just found out i have a heart problem..but am sure i can overcome that. I shall start my treatment in about 6 weeks when my wound has healed, its all part of my journey another hill to climb but i shall not get lost in the pathways leading to the top. I am not sure what to start writing about but what I know is that half of the people who have cancer experience sexual problems and that they do not get an opportunity to talk with their health professionals about them. I think that the main reason is that health professionals are not confident talking to people about sex and also they think they do not have the time to do this. I hope this can be a space for people to feel that it is ok to talk about these topics because I strongly believe this is an important part of life regardless of your health condition or age.

Every now and then I think I am kidding myself if I think I can study after a brain injury! It is twice as hard for me to do anything: concentrate, read a line from a textbook then remember it long enough to type it into an essay, and furthermore - why did I think I could do an art degree. There was a time when I couldn't even grip a pencil, now I am trying to do subjects like Textiles, Printmaking and Sculpture and while I am still passing (just) everything feels so laboured. I suppose this is the hill I was talking about in my introduction and I should just suck it up!
