I am posting this on behalf of the Cancer Council PR team...   -------------------------------------------------------------------   Hi CCOC members,   This year, Cancer Council NSW is expanding its community ambassador program, seeking people willing to share their cancer stories to add impact to our communications activity. Real-life stories are essential when trying to raise cancer awareness and vital funds for our research/services in the community. Put simply, without them our work would not be possible.   We will be doing regular call outs throughout the year as different campaigns emerge but at the moment we are looking for NSW patients/carers/survivors with a story around one of the following: Bowel cancer (over 50 years old) Cervical cancer Men’s health Cancer and mental health Prostate cancer Testicular cancer If you are comfortable sharing your story with the public via news media or in one of our newsletters, please send a short email with the key details of your story and a contact number to: [email protected]. Please note that depending on the number of submissions we may not be able to respond to everyone. Hello all,   Email notifications for our Online Support Groups are set by default to a daily digest email.   This means that a single email will arrive once per day, usually around the later evening (9-10pm) containing anything that was posted within the group during that day.   If you post in a thread or start one, then you will get an email notification whenever someone posts a reply.   The above notifications are completely customisable, you may prefer to set it to a weekly digest for example. You can edit these at your leisure at any time from your profile settings.   Click on your profile name (top-right of the screen on desktop and top on mobile).
