Hi Albundy21, I would rather have diarrhoea than constipation. When I get constipation, I take Coloxyl with Senna & a sachet of Movicol. They help alot. Budgie

I hope they call you soon. I know it's very stressful having to wait for someone else to do something. All the best to you. Budgie

I'm sorry, I can't think of anything that could help you. Could you ask your GP for another specialist to see, one that wouldn't cost you so much? I think there are a few very greedy doctors out there that care more about the money they can make than the health of the people they are there to serve. But what can we do? I hope your GP can help you further, or maybe someone else on this site can offer some advice. All the best Budgie

Hi @sytrader , & welcome to the community. Yes it certainly does make a difference with an oncologist who cares about his/her patients. I've had a few over the 7 years since I was diagnosed & there were one or two who seemed to just not give a damn. I hope things go well for you with the upcoming surgery. Budgie

Hi Roo, Your hair will still grow back if you shave it, starting with a stubble. It might only be itchy for a day or two. If you use a moisturiser on your head it might help in keeping the itch away. Budgie

Hi Claire19, I think part of your husbands problem is that he wants everything to get back to normal. For those who have cancer, I don't think you can ever return to the normal of before, but have to re-adjust after each different medication. Even after all treatment is finished there is never really any going back to the pre-cancer normal. Chemo drugs can have this effect on some people, so it would be worth telling the oncologist. They may be able to lower the dose or change drugs. Counselling would be a great thing for both of you, & you can get a referal from the oncologist the GP, as well as the lovely people from Cancer Council. I hope things improve for you soon. There is a thread on this site that you should read through, if you haven't already, which may give some helpful advice: HOW TO DEAL WITH A LOVE ONE'S ANGER? All the best Budgie

Hi Eddymu, How long has it been since you finished your radiation, & did you manage to have any family members with you while you were having your treatment?

Hi carolkp, Is your mum under palliative care, as the nurses would be/should be able to manage her pain better? If she's not, it's very easy to get a referral from either her onc or GP. I hope she finds some comfort soon. Budgie
