Hi Debbie, wow you’re amazing going through all your possessions and getting rid of so much. Well done! Sounds like you have a lovely family around you so that’s a blessing. I recently finished a cross stitch that I’d been working on for years thinking I had all the time in the world to finish it. Suddenly I thought I’d better finish it in case I don’t! Also last year after I finished chemo we packed our caravan and headed north for 6 weeks and after 10 days I had a heart attack and had to be flown back home! My poor husband had to pack up and drive for 13 hours to get to me. So, life is totally unpredictable 😢. Hi Gail77, just read your post. All I can say is that when I had cancer I had some people who were such a surprise supporter of me and others who stayed out of contact. Those who helped me were so beneficial to my mental state. Your “friend” is probably feeling guilty that she never visited you. Chemo and radiation is def serious and hard to get through. Stay close to those who love you. Sometimes we just have to let people go out of our lives. I sent cards to those who supported me thanking them and letting them know what a help they had been to me. I’d just finished looking after my beautiful mum for 2 years and then she passed away so we were free. Or so I thought!!! Hi John, AlfHam gives great advice!! Yes you can get through the next two weeks.  It’s so good you have shared with your wife your true feelings. You don’t ever have to pretend that you’re ok with your wife. She’ll be the one standing by you through this. A cancer diagnosis does all sorts of things to our minds because of the fear. I got horrible anxiety and panic attacks that I had no control over. It only stopped when treatment started.  Talk to the cancer council people if you need to. I really wanted him to still have a life but he wouldn’t. I def wouldn’t have minded if he left me occasionally. Nice to be so loved💕. Hi Glen, I had neutropenic sepsis because the blood neutrophil count was really low. Also had a UTI. The lymphoma was just in the top half of my body and only on one side.
