Hello Butterfly,I had the Doc check out my butt today so I'm not on another cream. I only have 5 treatments left and these are reduced in area to only focus on the tumour so the side effects should start to reduce.I found out that my operation is set for Jan 29th (which is good) but it appears that we will have to shorten our trip to Victoria so we can be back in time. Dear Nikki,I'm sitting here at 2.30am feeling like crap and then I come across you story and it shows me that it is the correct state of mind that is going to get me through this such as you have.I hope I can find the amazing positive approach you used to get you through on your own.I have the tools infront of me but being a typical male I'm choosing not to use them as much as I should, so in a way your story has given me a kick up the butt to try and get back on track.I would love to be part of a group that caters for specific age group as I have noticed that most people with bowel cancer are 60 or above. Thank you Margo,I already take Zoloft which I have been on for the past 4 years.Getting motivated is the hardest thing to do once I have started it is okay.I'm trying to do things around the house but that feels like I'm getting ready for my death which I know is crazy.Margo have been involved with a support group if so was there any benefit in it?I ask this as I'm pondering what my next step will be.Oldman (Kevin) ... Dear Margaret, I saw my Chemo doc for the first time today, she also encouraged me to see a socal worker at the Clinic. Here in Hobart the Holman Clinic is the place to be if you have cancer as it covers all aspects of support and treatment. I start on the Chemo and Radiation next Thurs 15th. Hi Nikki,I did not like the  normal spelling (Jackson) it looked like a surname, then we found (Jaxon) which I thought was cool. But a few weeks ago Alex made him a card and I guess being 8years old she spelt it how it sounds which of course was (Jaxin) when she showed us the card we noticed the spelling and thought it was so much better than (Jaxon) so we ran with it.Now Alex feels really special as she has had an input.Kevin ... I tend to agree, I'm listed to become a driver to help transport patients to their treatment.Plus I want to help the cancer council in any way i can not only because they helped us out greatly. Hello Kaza, Well I went and met my Chemo Doc today, I start next week on four tables a day for two weeks, then have two weeks off and finish off with another two weeks at the end of the Radiation treatment.
