Afternoon everyone,
The ABC Radio show 'Life Matters' hosted a segment today about returning to work after cancer, that is worth listening to.
Here's the blurb:
More Australians than ever before are surviving cancer, including people of working age. But just how good are we at helping those who have completed cancer treatment to go back to work?
Life Matters talks to radiation oncologist Dr Raghav Murali-Ganesh and Dr Elizabeth Pearson, occupational therapist and Allied Health Researcher at the Peter Mac Cancer Centre, who says employers try their best but sometimes fail to accommodate the needs of those wanting to return to work.

What a whirl your mind must be in!!
Have you had your CT scan as yet? You're doing the right thing by seeing your GP and getting the scans done, regardless of the outcome. It's always important to get to the bottom of things.
Take a look through our Podcasts, they are hosted by the amazing Julie McCrossin who has had her own cancer experience, and cover a wide range of topics. We have one on managing fear, which whilst it has a focus on that period after a cancer diagnosis, a lot of the tips are great for managing your fears and anxiety beforehand as well.

How is your Mum doing with her chemo? And also, how are you doing yourself?
Would your Mum listen to podcasts? We have a podcast series that's hosted by the amazing Julie McCrossin, that covers a whole range of different topics. You may find them good to listen to as well. For example, How to help someone with cancer and Coping with a cancer diagnosis, there's one on making treatment decisions and others about the changing of family dynamics.
