Hi Daniel, I'm sorry to hear about your problems with melanoma. Different individuals will take a different approach to managing the risk of UV and skin cancer.   Personally I try to avoid being directly out in the sun while at full strength (sun directly over head). If I am, I wear long sleeve tops, hat and sun screen.   Historically in Australia sunburn was normal and a part of summer. But that is slowly changing. Hi @Lindamit  I'm sorry to hear about your fight with cancer, especially for years! It must be very discouraging have 9 surgeries with an upcoming 10th! I guess only you can decide what your want based on the risks and quality of life. I'm not trying to encourage you one way or another, but eyesight loss in one eye is not usually a barrier to driving, although that might depend on your personal circumstances. We all have different psychological ways of trying to get through it and come out the end, hopefully relatively unscathed and with at least some of our sanity left. In all the time (years) that I've been frequenting the Cancer Council online community, I only occasionally hear someone asking about alternative treatments. Hi @Thekakoii  I'm sorry to hear about your diagnosis. It can be a bit of a rude shock at first. It brings back all the memories of what happened and what your father went through (and trust me, I know). My father was diagnosed with cancer at a young age, and then I was subsequently also diagnosed with cancer at a young age (40). But I am still here 6 years on. A few things; You are not your father. I had peripheral neuropathy following chemo (FOLFOX), which effected my hands & feet (painful pins and needles). The best thing for me was walking and running.
