Hi Angel. Just read your post and so sorry for your suffering. I haven’t had your procedure but when I had my first round of RChop chemo I had a really bad reaction and did regret having it and was so devastated by it all. But then I did improve and my dose was adjusted and life got better. So I hope and pray that you will turn a corner soon and your symptoms will improve. Hope you have lots of support. 💕Linda G

You’re welcome Andrew. Whatever you’re feeling is ok and grief is such an individual process. Loosing my parents within 18 months of each other has been very difficult. People tell me to “remember the good times “ and that doesn’t help me at all. Hopefully you can have people around you who just let you feel everything you’re feeling and don’t try and suggest how you should feel and just listen 💕

Hi Andrew. So sorry for the loss of your soulmate. I’m not in that position but just wanted to send you love and prayers. I remember when mum lost dad and they were together for 60 years and did everything together. The light went out of mum’s eyes. I hope you get the support that you need and can get some joy back into your life. 💕Linda G

Hi Elora. So sorry about your dad. I’ve just gone through cancer, a surprise diagnosis. I just know the emotional support that I got from my kids was such a help. You’ll just need to be there for your dad, be wise in your decisions about quitting your study. Always ring the Cancer Council for advice. 💕 LindaG

Hello, sorry to hear of your diagnosis but it’s good news that it is only in your bladder. I was diagnosed with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma in February and understand the fear and anxiety at the start. Once the treatment started it got better so I hope that you will feel better about it all too. Hope it goes well for you next week. Get all the support you need from the Cancer Council. They are amazing! LindaG

Hi Liz16, so sorry about your mum’s diagnosis. If you’re worried you should go to the hospital. At least they can check her out. I can relate to feeling so lost on the weekends and not having the medical support to call. LindaG

Hi Jesseth. Sorry to hear of your diagnosis. Try to get as much information about the effects of your cancer on fertility. It’s always such an anxious time at the start of this journey . Don’t make any major decisions while you’re emotional and still in the early stages. Hope you’ve got lots of good medical people around you. LindaG

Hi Colscats, sorry to hear of your diagnosis. I was diagnosed in February with non Hodgkin’s lymphoma and have just had my last chemo which has been successful at getting rid of the cancer. So it wasn’t breast cancer but I understand how frightening it can be when you first get the diagnosis. It was a very hard time but I hope you have someone to walk this journey with you. The cancer Council is so supportive and so is this forum. Ask for as much help as you need. 💜 LindaG

Hi Paul71, just take one day at a time till you get your results. I was a bit like you in finding out I had cancer. I’d hurt my neck and was doing neck exercises and noticed a lump. The end result was a diagnosis of non Hodgkin’s lymphoma. It does still feel strange to even say I have cancer. I think we all understand your emotions but it’s so good to have this forum to be real. Hope you can have more days of peace than anxiety. LindaG
