Looking back at my journey with cancer, I realised how easy the operation was compared to doing chemo therapy, it is funny how the cancer itself caused me not much pain, but the medicine I had to take in order to beat this disease made me so unwell. Well it has been about a month or so since last post and lots have happened again, after much soul searching hubby has decided not to continue with treatment anymore, and I fully support him,after the last bout of sickness he said what kind of life is this,so after speaking to his GP and then the Oncologist, the decision was made not to continue with the chemo.

Hi Everbody It is a while since I have posted much on this site. I lob in from time to time, have a look at what is going on and think, isn't it fantastic, everybody is blogging away, contributing and being helpful. It is great. My own situation. After fourteen years and various treatment I stopped responding to hormone manipulation about twelve months ago. So the standard response was more of the same but stronger - total androgen ablation it is called. That did nothing. So I am what the medics insist on calling "Castrate resistant".

I`have been in a very reflective mood since just before Christmas last, when my soul mate passed away from the 2 year battle with cancer. As a child and right through my life, one of my favourite foods was...brussel sprouts. I loved them, and when they would come on special, I would buy them in 10 kg lots and eat them cold from the fridge for breakfast, morning tea, lunch and dinner, of course with other food as well. I was something about the strong taste that I adored.
