My mum was diagnosed with Gallbladder cancer in February 2010 since then it has spread to her liver, bile duct, lymp nodes around the bile duct, abdomen, and has cancer spots on her stomach now. Mum has had 3 major surgeries to remove her gallbladder, half of her liver and recontruction of the bile ducts, and just recently she had a large tumor from her abdomen. Mum has had about 3 months of Chemo and 6 weeks of radiation therapy.

My wife is in the later stage of Kidney Cancer & brain Tumour, she is on some heavy drugs to stop seizures or at least control them, but she hasn't had the appetite to eat for some time & only drinks small amounts about 200ml per day. Because we have a 16 yr old son it is really hard for him to see his mother going through this & would like to know how long my wife can last without food & limited fluids. She has been this way for about 8 weeks & has lost a lot of weight. Please help because i don't know what to expect

hi my name is dan,im 35 from northern nsw and i was diagnosed with advanced oesophogeal cancer in august wich has also been found in my lymphatic system.I am one week into radiation and chemotherapy treatment and really dont know what to expect?I have been told the side effects and the statistics and percentages etc but i feel like i have just been put on the medical conveyer belt and sent on my way.Im positive 99.9% of the time and funny enough seem to smile a lot more then what i used to.:)I know there are many types of cancer and many different experiences and im not the only one in the wor

The Dragonfly Story Down below the surface of a quiet pond lived a little colony of water bugs. They were a happy colony, living far away from the sun. For many months they were very busy, scurrying over the soft mud on the bottom of the pond. They did notice that every once in awhile one of their colony seemed to lose interest in going about. Clinging to the stem of a pond lily it gradually moved out of sight and was seen no more.

My husband has passed away. He had a 15 month battle with melanoma. I can not believe he has gone. I sometimes feel as though he is still in hospital or on a long shift at work. but then i think he is not ever going to walk through the front door again. Or sneak into bed aftyer a night shift. But the on the other hand our little boy who is now also 16 months old brightens the darkest day. My mum keeps saying to people :how can you be sad with him around". This is true, too true

Hi all my name is rosieroo, ive tried to join several times with no luck, live remote with terrible internet service, lol, could be worse. I have gone 4yrs now without the C coming back, however the doctor tells me ive got to go 10yrs not 5yrs to get a clearance humm not sure whats going on there, hummmm. Perhaps becuse it went to my lymph nodes or perhaps because it was a very nasty sort who cares im still here and treasure every day, the simple things in life. I hope to talk & share a commonality with you all, hear your stories and share mine. I will share this today smile it feels good
