Goodbye my beloved

My darling husband and dad to my two beautiful children aged 6 and 2 passed away on June 24th at 12.52pm after a 7 month battle with stomach cancer. He will be missed and in our hearts forever. Wifeyb

wow! time flies

Since my last blog my husband is still in Hospital and the last few days it seems as though there is complication after complication. Yippee They are not serious just annoying for me but painful for him. I have learnt so much lately about hospitals. Even to the point where for my husband to come home the staff are going to teach me to give a basic injection to my Husband. Yucky. and now i am starting to look for aids for our home to make some things a little easier. We are lucky in that our house is only 1 level.

A Certificate

Certificates are normally associated with the good things in life, achievements in particular. Our youngest son received his first Honour Certificate at school just 5 weeks ago, he stood proudly holding it up for the entire school to see. The smile on his face was priceless, as parents we were 'chuffed'.

A Sense of Despair

Right now I am sitting here feeling a sense of despair. Not about myself, I’m upbeat about that, but about the system that we as patients suffer from. My sense of despair comes from a lot of what I read in these pages, and it is not the individual stories of tremendously brave and resourceful people.
