I am already 8 days down with Radiation and 20 to go. all is well so far with the skin and i am feeling well. being from the country has made it really hard for me as i miss my family so much. my husband came for the weekend an it was wonderful to see him. i only wish he could stay all the time. he is so busy with work. it has been very hard on him as well. i am looking forward to his next visit. the internet has been a blessing as i have be able to keep intouch with my grandies and kids as well. cheers

Has anybody had a -power port put into their body?. I have just had one put in and was wondering what it was like when they use them for injections and so on. Thanks

Nearly six weeks ago I had a Radical Prostatectomy for, yep you guessed it, a cancerous Prostate. I have been pretty confident that things will be alright - in fact even (trying) to convince myself that I didn't have Cancer, but last night after nearly three weeks without a catheter I had to get another put in cos of a blockage (my second). I know this ain't much in the scheme of things but I also have my blood tests to be taken this Friday which will tell the success or otherwise of surgery.

I felt as though I was going to my second home. Walking down the halls on Level 5 brought back a flood of memories, including the chemo shots in my lower back at 10:30pm at night followed by folenic acid to ‘treat’ this life threatening condition and our second angel baby Seanain. The orderlies and the tea lady Rosemarie greeted me like a long lost friend. We caused an almighty ruckus at the reception desk – hugs and kisses and memory bantering whilst my very thick and weighty file was being prepared for this morning’s oncology clinic.
