PSA today is 4.4 same level as a year ago after the biopsy was carried out. Dropping slowly and Doctor is happy with it. Whereas I would like to see it well below 2.0. so it's all too slow for me to accept remission is here. Weight loss to date is 10 kilos for no apparent reason. Blood tests were clear on anything abnormal. Have not bothered to buy new clothes so jeans look too big and I have progressed to a smaller belt and already gone down 3 holes sizes in that belt. I think the weight loss has stopped though as 74 kilos has been my weight for the last 3 weeks now.

I have been diagnosed with cancer cells in the oesophagus I was to have an operation to remove them only to find out at the last minute that they were also in my upper oesophagus so now I'm waiting to have another dye test to find out if an operation can go ahead having second thoughts and maybe like to look at other ways of dealing with this.

Hello there, my name is Gregory, 40 years young, and living and surviving stage 4 colorectal cancer, that started ts journey from my bowel, then it evaded border checks to end up in my liver, then crossed over into my lungs. I was diagnosed September 19, 2014 and have had the endless rounds of chemo and on July 1, 2015, had a bowel and liver ressection. They took out a vast amount of liver and i also have a colostomy bag too. Yay!

After recently being recently diagnosed non-small cell lung cancer (stage 3b) I am wanting to reach out to other men similar age to me who are battling this illness. I have the efgr mutation and have been taking tarceva since 1st July. I am coping well on tarceva - I describe it as my one-pill per day miracle drug ! It's been a challenging time in my life. I am 44. Twice divorced and I have 3 beautiful children from my 2nd marriage who both inspire me to passionately fight on but who also bring out deep emotions in me when I am with them - being the fear of leaving them too early.

When my mother was pronounce terminal and told me the prognosis I just said something like "well we all die at least you know what from". It might sound flippant writing this but for my mother she likes strength and logic not tears and denial.

On this last day of Winter we have received results from mums progress scans: * Her tumor has shrunk a little. * Her Ca-19.9 Tumor makers have gone from: 202 on the 1/6/15 88 on the 31/8/15 *The cancer has stopped growing. Mum is up to chemo round number 5. She has remained very strong, has not been hospitalised once, is keeping a great diet. Her spirits are high. Another round of chemo to go. Our oncologist would like to do another 2/3 rounds before we do major scans. We are remaining positive. Xxx
