I had been diagnosed with adenocarcinoma nslc4 last end of August. I goes to Princess Mary Cancer Clinic here in Westmead NSW. i had my scans, biopsy and DNA. I've seen my oncologist but I don't know what is happening because every week we rang them up nothing is progressing. I am very worried and anxious what is going on because it's been nearly 8 weeks to wait this long. My cancer had spread to my limpauge and bone. When I saw my oncologist she has 3 options for me. 1. Chemotherapy - which is the basic. 2. PD1 - which is suited for me. 3. ALK- fusion gene.

It is confronting to watch someone young, strong & capable disintegrate in front of your eyes. Today's a bad day, Ben got up to make breakfast (he loves to make food for his family- that's his passion) He cleaned up, went outside for 5 minutes to clean up after the dogs & has limped back inside to go back to bed. He's struggling to walk, it's painful to watch. It's hard to stay positive, but I am trying! I need to for him. I clean, & I clean & I clean Distraction keeps the mind free of the "what if's" 2nd lot of avastin tomorrow.

So, we have come to those forks in the road where you have to make life changing decisions with your loved ones. We have chosen (or for lack of choice- it has chosen us) to go down the avastin path. First treatment was on yesterday. My bank account will feel substantially lighter after it, although I would give every last cent for his health.
