Still havn't heard from the Melanoma clinic and Darryn won't ring to find out why. We were told two to three weeks and it has been four now. I have told him he should ring the hospital and find out why we haven't heard from them but he just nods his head and doesn't do it. I think its because he doesn't want to know in case it more bad news. He is still always tired and says he is going to quit his job almost daily. I try to be supportive and loving but he makes it hard when he is always grumpy.

In March this year, I sent my aunt Edna a large bouquet of flowers to her home in Israel, to wish her a happy 70th birthday. Attached to the flowers was an invitation to spend a two-week holiday with me in Australia at a time that suited us both. She called immediately to thank me and tell me that she was delighted to accept the invitation. Edna is my mother’s sister and has been a constant throughout my life; in celebrations, in sadness and in everyday matters, she has always been present.

My husband has been gone 11 weeks today.I miss him so much. The days do get easier and the crying well....I am doing well much better than I thought in fact I am proud of myself.

Friends..... We all have them...... We all need them..... A friend for a reason... A friend for a season..... The season is about to change, the leaves have turned the glorious colours of autumn and winter is only a few days away...... Winter... The cold mornings, the miserable, wet and windy grey days....darkness comes earlier. It's natural to feel "grey". I'm feeling grey.

Thank you to everyone that shared their story and gave advice, it helped me a lot. My husband starts his second round of chemo on Thursday , he handled it really well last time so fingers crossed this time. Our children are coping well also. It has been good to know that this site is here for support. We are making sure we stay positive and have lots of laughs.

Time is all we have. I live in a hospice bubble. If my husband smiles its like a major event. If he eats half his meal I'm happy. It's amazing how the little things become moments of joy when joy is so far from our every day lives.
