So, the third round of chemo has been completed. His next scan is in less than 2 weeks. I feel sick just thinking about it. His tremor his increased to his leg, so now his whole left side tremors. He has weaned off the dex again- this is the first week on zero tablets, to be smashed with the worlds largest headache which has sent his straight back to bed. Better to sleep through it, than to suffer through it! We finally received our insurance money, which is a blessing, we have purchased a more suitable home for him & us.

Stuart died early Tuesday morning, 19/03/2013. The beast cruely took its time and the last few weeks were horrendous. I miss the old Stuart terribly but am glad the GBM Stuart has found peace. Deep breaths and lots of tears, I hope I still have the courage to face this new normal. Hugs to all Terese.

We have just arrived home from a review with our surgical team in Melbourne. Nigel had his scan on Monday which has shown a 15% increase in the tumour since Feb 13.

Our Burma trip in September last year was fantastic. We did a 10 day river cruise through a company called Pandaw, who we also travelled to Cambodia and Vietnam with. Climbed pagodas, went to villages, witnessed the monks procession for alms etc etc. but I was getting weaker and weaker, and not eating. Figured it was the heat. On return had a scheduled visit to Peter Mac for a scan and went there straight from airport. We were then staying in Melbourne overnight for oncologist appointment the next day.

Hey everyone :))) I have been diagnosed with stg 2 oigioastrocytoma 2 weeks ago and just finished cycle one of oral chemo with success. I have 4 tumors that are infiltrative and are inoperable. Can t do radiation because it would be whole brain radiation. :((( Im hoping i have positive results with the chemo i'll be on for up to 12-18 mos. Anyone have the same type of tumor as me, and what treatment are you currently on ?
